Wash day this week was very SUCCESSFUL! I used many products (this was a first for me) but the Star of this week was Mielle Organics Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner . This product was designed to restore your [heat] damaged or dry ends by bringing protein and moisture to each strand.
I began wash-day by washing and conditioning my hair with Aussie Mega Moist Shampoo & Conditioner. I normally section my hair in six to eight sections so that the products can really penetrate my scalp. While washing/conditioning, I primarily focus on just cleansing my scalp as I allow the shampoo and conditioner to flow freely into the body of my hair.
I have low-porosity hair, so I have to take extra time to make sure the water and product really saturates my hair. Knowing your hair's porosity can eliminate a lot of time and save a shit ton of money when using/buying the right hair products.
After washing and conditioning my hair, I sectioned my hair and applied a generous amount of Mielle Organics Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner to each section and twisted it up. This was the first time in OVER two years that I deep conditioned my hair so you can only imagine my excitement when my curls IMMEDIATELY starting popping!
I threw a shower cap on and let the deep conditioner set for about an hour. The directions for the deep conditioner says to only keep it in your hair for 30 mins, but I didn’t add heat so I made the pimp decision to keep it in longer. Plus my hair needed as much help as she can get.
The best part about the deep conditioner is the tingling sensation. It really felt like the product was penetrating my scalp. It rinsed out with ease and did NOT leave my hair feeling dry at all. One thing I will do next time is apply heat to the conditioner. I feel like that will add extra something to my hair.
So after I washed the deep conditioner out..my crown was so SOFT and luxurious !! My damaged ends were attempting to curl and wake up!

Look at these curls/waves!!! [See pic] I am literally flipping out! Mielle Organics Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner has restored some life into my heat damaged ends! I recommend this deep conditioner if you have damaged/dry ends and if you have low porosity hair.
I will feature Mielle Organics' other products as my journey continues, in the meantime you can catch them at your local Target, Wal-Mart, and Beauty Supply Store near you, OR you can click the "Mielle Organics" link for discounted price..... You're welcome.
